Postpartum Libido: Boost Your Sex Drive
Most women notice a decrease in libido after baby because they’re tired and overwhelmed. The key to boosting your desire is through feeling connected to your husband or partner. I say, “date your mate”. Your date need not cost a dime…you can enjoy each other’s company at home. Cuddle and watch a movie, share a dessert, and keep the focus on the two of you rather than your kids. Notice how when you’re feeling connected your desire will increase. Make “we” time a priority- the more connected you feel emotionally and physically the better you’ll both feel!
Postpartum Weight Loss- Form a Group
You’ll be much more likely to stick with an exercise program if you’re working out with a friend or group. To start a group ask fellow neighbors if they’d like to walk or workout then set a couple of days to workout for the week. Once you have a group to workout with you’ll be more motivated because you’ll enjoy the social interaction. Once the group gets going start challenging each other to workout a little harder. You’ll love the connection and you’ll love the physical and mental/emotional results from forming a group!
Postpartum Weight Loss- One Goal Per Day
After having a baby the thought of getting fit can be overwhelming. I recommend setting simple, achievable goals for exercise and eating healthy per day. For example write down for an exercise goal, “I will walk 10 min today.” And for a nutrition goal: “I will drink 1 extra glass of water today.” Each small step builds momentum and that equals progress! When you make the goals simple and attainable the overwhelm will go away and you’ll accomplish more. Start today with one simple goal for exercise and nutrition and you have already made progress!
Key Point= One Goal Per Day= Feel You’ve Accomplished Something= Increases Motivation= Weight Loss
